“Where there is no vision, the people perish…”
In other words, “Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint…”
In the absence of a good leader, society might not know their true purpose or vision.
After reading this passage, we could see how people could perish in a leadership vacuum as a result of a lack of good example and self-control.
We could imagine a society careening helplessly and hopelessly into danger in ignorance when a vision is not present.
This does not have to be. We have been given a purpose and a vision for our lives. We can make a choice to be just like those great men and women who have been raised up to lead all of us.
If we want to raise up good successful leaders, they will need to have the emotional intelligence and the relationship skills required to relate well to others.
